My first trip to Iceland, I saw people climbing all over these. One piece broke off and fell on a guy's face. It was gross and hopefully a warning to parents who had their little kids climbing them. #blueskyartshow #jagged #iceland #classicmono

A nine year old german girl tragically drowned there last week. The currents below those cliffs are unbelievably strong and it you get caught in them, it is almost impossible to get back to shore.

Every time we have visited this spot we have seen the same behavior. It’s all about the selfie to post on social media. Photographers advertise their businesses with photos of a bride perched on one of the columns. All of this detracts from the experience of people just wanting to enjoy nature.
