I hope it’s not too late and you’ll have another elections, but even if you’ll have another elections and miraculously the democrats will win, in 2032 all will be forgotten, again.

There are times when sea changes sweep over the US. The Civil War and the Great Depression/WW 2 and even the Vietnam War all changed the country in fundamental and highly political ways. Are we ready for that kind of tumult? We never were.
