i’m so angry i’m shaking. has anyone had any success in getting ADHD med management transferred to their GP ? i feel like we are being held hostage by a predatory company.

yes it is absolutely soooo possible, my GPs manage so many people's medications. and you have to go back every two years anyway to get a new permit letter??? it's not like you're never going back????

someone has written a manifesto in their google reviews, and have reported them to every regulatory body they can. i’ll be doing similar as soon as we get free of them.

Yes! Speak to your GP ASAP. If you're diagnosed, all they'll need is a permit and even then I think the rules changed in VIC and it's even easier now. Helps a lot to have a younger doctor as they seem more aware of the changes in my experience but you have to HOUND your psych to respond to them.

his GP is happy to take over. this psych just won’t do it. they’re even screening our calls - they won’t answer if steven calls, and they only answered cause they don’t know my number.

I had a similar issue when my psych dropped me with no warning for being late to an appointment (I called ahead) and my GP ended up writing a formal letter to his practice manager threatening to make a complaint to whatever body oversees them. Fixed it up for me immediately.

Tell your GP this if you haven't already. They can and will help you escalate. They LOVE fighting psychs I swear, it's like GPs and Psychs have some kind of ancient blood feud.
