No, no, no! I agree! I’m talking to the younger people who blame Boomers for this mess. I had this talk with my 40 year old niece. There are good and bad in all generations. But the “good” Boomers brought about incredible change in this country that has been taken for granted for many years.
And now it’s all slipping away. My 28 year old daughter was with me at a protest recently and a man in his 70s thanked her for being there. He was very cool about it. He told her to watch and learn peaceful protest from the older people in the crowd because we have experience. (I’m 68.)
When we were walking home, I wanted to be sure my daughter understood what he was saying. She has autism and hears things in her own way.She told me she thought she understood. She said, “It’s important to show up.”I smiled and told her, yes, “We show up and we fight for the rights of all people.❤️

Seems certain we're headed for another George Floyd moment in my neighborhood, where boomers are out in force peacefully protesting during the day, replaced by younger generations creating good (and not so good) trouble after dark.
