Definitely my all-time fav social media site! You find the funniest, craziest stuff there and, at least in the tumblr corner I know, everybody is just nice to each other. Lots of fun art and writing events too. I'm so glad I found it in my old age 😂

Same! Can’t say for the Witcher folks, though the small part I experienced was always cool and I still have good connections there.

The problem with bsky is the lack of engagement, The post about W1 from 2 days ago got 2 likes and 0 replies here. I posted the same on r/witcher one day later and already have 1200 upvotes and 100+ replies that greatly lifted my mood and some that made me crack.

I mean, that's normal because you obviously posted in a Witcher themed medium. If you only want fandom engagement, I'm sure that's the place to go.

Well, I do like that I can post stuff that would interest a specific audience precisely to them and engage with them. I post about rocks, fossils, nature/wildlife, movies, shows, and games. 80+% of what I post is Witcher, but no matter what it is, it always finds the right people.

Yeah, if you're happy there that's awesome! Never been on Reddit other than to find people have been talking about fics of mine there 😂 But if I'd try to get into it now it would definitely be hard, that's normal. I have a multi-interest blog on Tumblr and shitpost there. :)

Yes! You find all kinds of witcher fans on tumblr. What I like a lot better on tumblr than reddit is that there's a lot more art. But show fans are very rare on reddit and there's only very scarce news about the show there. That's what ‪@realmachiavelli and I were discussing if I remember correctly

I am on tumblr, but Im super old and struggling with managing too many Socialmedia apps. I'm mostly on reddit, feels much more intuitive to me. I'll give Bluesky a month of effort, but will drop off if the work-reward ratio doesn't feel right in the end.

I guess the site in which we spend the most time feels the most natural to us. I've been on Twitter for more than 15 years, and BlueSky now starts to feel like a good substitute. Started a Tumblr for fandom stuff. I tried a couple of others, but I'm stuck with those now.

Twitter's just not what it once was anymore since Musk took over. I was mostly on facebook in the past, but they changed so much to the worse there, I totally started to hate it. I also got into tumblr for fandom stuff, I think actually via the AO3 share button when I started writing Witcher fics 😅

I'm not allowed on FB. No matter how often I take a picture of my ID next to my face, they still insist that I am AI or a robot. Can't lie, it kinda stings to be told you're too ugly to have a FB account 🤣

What, really? Well, I joined so long ago, there was no AI yet 😅 It was nice to share photos with some old friends who live far away, but pretty much nothing else. I haven't set foot there in years. And I don't miss it at all.

My daughter laughed her ass off when she found out I was on tumblr. She told me it was her fav site when she was 14 or so 😂

Yeah, my daughter doesn't even use Tumblr. Kids today seem to be on Instagram or whatever... but I don't care. I'm comfortable on Tumblr. Sure, I haven't got that much of engagement, but I'm the mod of a community and thus I can create my own engagement :-P

My daughter left tumblr more than a decade ago and moved to Instagram and tiktok. But tumblr is so much better! Maybe they'll come back once they're as old as we are 😅
