Chicago resistance, these are some of the nonviolent, highly effective methods DC residents used to chase them out. darkskyinnovation.com/articles/civ... Learn them before they arrive and keep them out before they spread through Chicago. DC did it, so can you. bsky.app/profile/iwil...

This is a good "what not to do" followed by "what to do" post bsky.app/profile/did:...

Seriously, this may be total coincidence, but since I started putting our team's articles on the company server three weeks ago, my internet service keeps grinding to glacial slowness. I thought it was the town, but if I keep swapping VPNs, it's fine. Maybe someone doesn't like this stuff?

I agree. In addition, I was taught "the statistical variation within a group is usually larger than variation of the average of the two groups" In most respects, men and women are more similar than two men at different ends of the distribution. Say Gandhi vs Jeffrey Dahmer.

This is critical right now when Democratic leaders are discussing abandoning "red" states like Texas where 50% +/- 2% of their 31 million people are our allies. Abandon Texas and we sacrifice 15 million Democrats and maybe 7 million moderate GOP and independents.

My own focus has been on nonviolent ACTION. Prior to the Dharasana Salt Works action, Gandhi warned of a "nonviolent guerilla raid." This quote isn't seen often, but I found it. He clearly saw nonviolent action as a was to exert political force to make change. What I see is a lot of complaining.

Lillian Smith wrote "the threat of do-nothing, armchair liberals who talk but do nothing pose a greater threat to desegregation than the KKK" and I fully agree. In hindsight, the greatest weakness of Democracy is that during times of peace and prosperity there's not much personal motivation to act.

It can be proven that in a society at an "optimum" condition, a vote to change anything makes things worse. The best move is - no change. Except for leaders getting old and dying, which moves the society away from optimum. There's a reason modern voters are apathetic and this is one of them.
