Governors should declare a state of emergency and activate the National Guard to protect the civil liberties of state residents. The National Guard is not free to assist federal paramilitary abductions when they need to protect and serve in their state.

The entire military is sworn to defend the Constitution against enemies, both foreign AND DOMESTIC. They are not fulfilling their vow and arresting Trump. I don't think they care about law anymore, the generals are all replaced with Trump loyalists by now.

It's going to take people as a group fighting back, without any "official" orders to do so, and if military personnel would defect and provide some kind of leadership for that, that would sure help the people!

Look at what Ghandi did with peaceful resistance against the British. I think when your troops start having to kill people who are not using violence their discipline will break. But you need very brave people to do that.
They have been killing people not using violence for decades. America's military has been preying on the weak for a long time now.
Though they usually just delegate murder of the innocent to drone bombers now, so they don't have to kill in person.
Killing foreigners is one thing, killing your fellow countrymen can seem too like murder.
But they're already okay with murder, and they're targeting mostly non-White people that look the same as the ones they're used to killing. I don't think that matters at all.
You may be right. I call it βotheringβ where you define your enemy as less than human and thereby justify to yourself treating them as animals or worse. Thatβs why it has to be white grandfathers who lie in front of the tanks.
