That’s pretty
doing the lords work
hell yeah
This is north Alabama stuff. Is this also South Georgia stuff? @worried.shoes
Lunch at my grandparents house in Alabama. Sometimes with wilted salad or collards. Homemade pepper sauce. Extremely southern hillbilly coded.
How are the beans seasoned?
These are just salt and pepper. I keep pinto beans neutral, because I’ll make a big batch, freeze and then use them a variety of ways. Refried, in burritos, ect.
Can't go wrong keeping it simple! I'd ought to try this. Been going through a lot of canned beans lately.
If you have freezer space, I recommend it. We usually keep pintos, black beans and red beans in the freezer. Makes for a quick meal with rice.
I should have wrote very hillbilly coded to me, as this meal is typical of African American families in the same area.
Evening meal a lot of days for them was leftover cornbread with buttermilk. Country shit.
this my moms fav snack right here
that's like every dinner described in every faulkner novel.
Well, I my experience, northern Alabama, northern Mississippi and northern Georgia are so similar they might be the same state.
that's fair but there's only one Yoknapatawpha County
You'd better follow this up with a fresh cuppa Joe and The Pogues.
