I don't think that "non-Americans should leave Florida" is the most reasonable interpretation of what they were saying, given the context. Do you, if you go and reread the thread?

Then why mention Americans specifically at all? When the question was if it's reasonable to ask *someone* to move? I think it's quite a logical interpretation, then, that the point is Americans shouldn't be be asked to move (but others might).

Sure, maybe the person advocating a strong Tesla boycott is also an extreme nationalist. Or maybe they just meant that they see no reason for people in red states to leave their homes, and the wording wasn't ideal.
