1. Democrats have been the only thing standing between democracy and the oligarchs since FDR. 2. Democrats have adopted every progressive effort in the last fifty years; Republicans none. 3. Pig ignorant Americans are the problem.

Not at all. Republicans continuing to support the cesspool that is Trump is the problem.

The Democrats that are in "leadership" are the problem. They're the ones getting in the way of destroying the GOP in 2026. Which means of @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social and @schumer.senate.gov took a walk to the backbench, Dems would win big. Let's see if they truly believe in "Blue no matter who".

Democrats turn guns on each other. At the drop of a dime. Not appreciating the necessity of allies is their problem. Always.

I dunno man I kinda think an openly white supremacist political party polling only slightly underwater is a bigger problem. This is a poll, not a ballot. Most of the dems who are rightly disappointed with their leadership will still vote for them

Republicans have been making it awfully easy to vote for Democrats lately, have to say. Only a handful seem to actually believe the things they say, and most of that handful are no longer in power.

And does taking shots at the candidates we offer as an alternative help or hurt? I think we underestimate that nobody wants to be part of a group where you’re in as much danger from the group as from outside. That’s basic human nature. And if you think that doesn’t register to people, 🤷🏻‍♂️.

Taking shots at potential candidates is part of the weeding out process to find who can motivate the base. Both sides do it and always have

Some Democrats have standards and principles, you call them the left. The rest of the party are either neolibs, boot licking centrists, or vote blue lunatics.

Fascist Republicans and spineless Democrats are the problem. Progressive Democrats willing to stand up and fight against fascism and genocide are the solution.

When you have the Republican controlled corporate media and press constantly portraying 'Dems in Disarray' and 'Republicans United and Strong under Trump' voters who pay little attention to politics believe what they briefly hear and read: #BidenHasDementia #KamalaUnprepared #ButHerEmails

The media is certainly pushing a narrative of Dems being in disarray. But Schumer and Jeffries sure haven’t done much to counter that narrative. They are too busy on book tours or posting cringey photos to Twitter, while democracy crumbles.

They aren’t helping much, to be sure. But they also aren’t “the problem”, either. Trump is the problem. The Republicans who refuse to do the right thing are the problem. No matter how little we like it, Republicans are in control of all parts of the government right now.

Everyone in Dem leadership who said “we need a strong Republican party” for democracy’s sake or whatever maybe should’ve taken a clue and formed a strong Democratic party to oppose them

Fair enough. Are we supposed to let Progressives off the hook for resisting calls to coalition? It’s a 2-way street. Until both sides see their part in it, we’re fucked.
