I don't care if it's a divine being or my subconscious. if it tells me to go sacrifice my only son to it, I'm not listening to it. Period. Full stop. I don't care if it says nice things sometimes- It still thinks child sacrifice is cool. same goes for any of the other straight up awful things.

That's very in line with the Gnostic Gospels. Which is precisely why the organized religions sort to bury those. Can't have people knowing God without a dues collecting intermediary in the picture.

If I might add an "o", I think most people believe in a universal Good, just by dint of our existance on this planet. As an atheist, I can see the Good. I can't comprehend the need for a God.
