The warnings were sent out. The owners either didn’t hear them or they didn’t heed the warning. It happens. Happened here in Arkansas in 2010 at a campground. I forget how many were lost. It was bad.
My point is, these alerts are so common in this part of the county. Seems like every time it rains a flash flood watch/warning is issued, & rarely does it actually flood like that. People don’t usually seek higher ground because a lot of times nothing happens. We’re accustomed to ignoring them.
