I was actually thinking about Ashley/Kaden in part as well, since it can happen before you even get to know either of them

I don't like redemption = death but I do think there's an actual character arc to Ashley deciding to lay down her life for the greater galactic community. resonates a lot more than kaden who is, like, idk, there was something that happened at academy I guess?
