It's actually spelled Drumpf. It's his real family name from back in the old country. They changed it to sound more American, but since he doesn't give a shit about being American it doesn't matter. Drumcovich would be more accurate.

His family comes from Prussia, which was a very militaristic German state. Grandpa Drumpf was a chicken who was scared of being a soldier, so he fled to the US. His wife hated it here, but because of having failed to complete military service they could not go back. Why Drumpf hates veterans.
