The US debt is about 36 trillion dollars. The highest in the world.😱 The US should tax the medium rich, the rich and the mega rich to pay down the debt instead of cutting the help to the poor. It is the right thing to do. The rich became rich because of the labour of the poor.

Except that debt is meaningless. Government debt is a voluntary security service for the financial sector. You could print all the money, pay it back, without substantial inflationary effects. But this way, banks/billionaires receive free non-productive income. But social security is the bogeyman.
