It’s an absolutely magnificent museum. The moment you walk through the door….there it is. Unbelievable. Genuinely breathtaking.

Doesn't sound very advanced or powerful.
I would go every time I went to Stockholm. Always fascinating!
I would LOVE to see that in person!
I would love to go there and see that ship, the carvings alone are worth the trip let alone the ship itself.
Been there! Seen that! It's awesome and hilarious at the same time.
I’m heading to Stockholm on Tuesday night. The Vasa museum is the first place I’m visiting :)
Stockholm is a cracking city to visit. Vasa is fantastic but also check-out the Armémuseum if you get the chance. armemuseum.se/en/start/
My favourite museum! The first view of the ship looming over you as you enter the building is definitely unique and quite literally breathtaking. I recommend it to anyone I know when they visit Stockholm 🇸🇪
It's stunning.
Seeing the Vasa emerge out of the dark upon entering the museum is one of the very best history-comes-alive moments in the world. A must-see for anyone who gets anywhere near Stockholm
It is! A view you don’t forget!
It’s a great place. Anyone going to Stockholm should go there.
It took my breath away when I saw it.
Worth a visit…
I was there 2 weeks ago. Amazing place. Even my 15 year old was impressed!
I love the Vasa Museum!
1,300 meters. Was Liz Truss at the helm?
Dan calls it the most advanced Given how poorly designed it was that's very unfair to the Swedish ships that didn't flounder while leaving port One of the weird quirks of history, at a time when they were building one of the best armies in the world, their navy sucked
Traveled to Sweden in 1979. As a student at a college named after Gustavus Adolphus I had to see this. It was in what they called Vasa Shipyard. Only the hull was on display and it was being constantly bathed in a solution of polyethylene glycol.
Yes, I visited around the same time and still remember the smell, ironically like burned wood
True. Also super humid.
That is an amazing museum. History comes alive there.
People who rant about the Mary Rose museum have never seen the Vasa.
In defense of the Swedish navy, those Ikea instructions were in Latin back then and really, really confusing.
That was the lesson they had to learn.
Documentary coming on History Hit ?
This museum is an absolute gem.
That museum is fascinating. I loved it.
Just saw this on April - it’s absolutely amazing. Just incredible

One of the few things which is genuinely awesome.
It was so advanced it was actually a submarine.
I went there and the tour guide explained that yes it sank, but they went on to build more big war ships that didn’t, so “in other words it was a prototype.” Now one of my personal catch phrases, whenever some massive project fails, is “Well, it was a prototype.”
Visited once but haven’t forgotten. Amazing place.
