It was too good for them. Bionicle deserved better than to die with Stars, then die again with G2 almost as soon as it appeared. With how G1 proved itself over and over and over again, you'd think it'd warrant at least an iota of respect from LEGO, but it appears not.
I personally like the build method and stuff of G2 as well-- they literally could reboot or remake the original story to a degree using it and people would be happy. But no... We just get a Tahu build-a-brick purchase gift that has 0 Technic and needed to be purchased with others to get.
