i love when they say it’s not realistic and i’m just like well why not at least try to advocate for a better world before throwing in the towel? even if we get 5% of what we ask for, it’s better than 0%.

Thos is exactly what they told the peasants about the feudal system. Now they are telling the workers same lies about capitalism.
*this
It's less realistic but here's my system with the same capitalist contradictions but it will be socialist due to the power of friendship.
"Not realistic" is the surrender of the coward who can't imagine anything could change and doesn't want to try. They'd decry public libraries as "unrealistic" if they didn't exist already. If anyone listened to them, we would still be living under the rule of kings. Truly reprehensible worms.
It shouldn't
I like the strategy of calling private companies "dictatorships", since most liberals don't even question that hierarchy
There are genuine dick suckers out there who think they should get stepped on by their perceived betters.
I think a lot are ok with that as long as they are not the ones on the very bottom
Yeah that's a pretty big part of it, so long as they can look down on someone else they don't mind it too much.
Yes. But some of us don't apply this logic to labor relations
Fair enough but they want us all to get in on their kink.
People would be like, "This is the only system that has worked." and that's how you will know their historical and economic education never escaped the white western-centred world. It's like civilizations before European imperialism don't exist.
this is my exact thought i agree
Me when I talk vegan politics with leftists
Anti-communists don't even know what capitalism is. They're the economic equivalent to flat earthers and creationists.
Bold words from someone who belongs to the camp which frequently whitewashes and denies commie crimes
The commie crimes: Killing Nazis and Aristocrats
Its just like saying, that the Nazis killed only dangerous terrorists and bloodthirsty commies. Pure fucking denial.
Thanks for this mind-opening, well-researched document that exhaust the subject of crimes commited by a dozen or more communist regimes. This is exactly what I expected from a true expert like you.
"Lobsters"
I asked something like this once to an Asshat and their reply was “Some people are just better than others” and that’s their mindset. It’s just greed and narcissism.
It's literally the basis of the reactionary mind. It's anti-egalitarianism.
To add, the only difference between those dumbasses is how they think we should decide who is better than others

because there's no other way!!! iPhones don't function unless they have batteries hewn from the earth by the tiny fingers of enslaved children!! Do YOU want to live in that hellscape? a world without iPhones???
It would only destroy them if they were honest with themselves and you. They will not be, though. Its human psychology. They DO think class based exploitation should exist because they want to be in the exploiting class (though are ironically very likely in the exploited class)
because I like exploiting people, obviously lol
Look, I just want to be the exploitER instead of the exploitED. Is that so wrong?
📌
I play the casino with a 99% lose rate just in case I hit it big!!!! (game is rigged in multiple generational ways to make sure we never do)
Why yes I do. We should exploit the knowledge that we learned in class to become based. 😎 *Laugh Track*
something something lobsters and natural hierarchies. I give it at most a year before they just drop the dog whistles entirely though.
"feudalism is the way of nature" said the social class that doesn't exist anymore
"Human nature" is often what you'll get. I feel like at least in the USA, the anti-capitalist left needs to constantly rebut James Madison's Federalist #10, which establishes the US as an explicitly bourgeois republic based upon "natural differences" in "the faculties of men"
"But the most common and durable source of factions has been the various and unequal distribution of property. Those who hold and those who are without property have ever formed distinct interests in society." Not Karl Marx. James Madison.
Okay, but it's kind of hard to take a statement like this seriously from a guy who owned over 100 slaves, though.
He was accurately describing his situation. He'd like to keep his slaves.
Why? I think he was pretty serious about establishing a state to protect his property in both land and humans. Like he wasn't going to add on "and that's bad." He's fine with it. He wants to keep it that way.
You know what? That's on me. I'm so used to modern politicians pretending to be salt of the earth that my mind automatically assumed he was doing the same here instead of outright being a haughty asshole, since that was something he could actually get away with uncontroversially in his time. My bad.
Remember, only white male property owners could vote in most places. He didn't have to give a fuck about a mass audience. He was talking to and for the only people who mattered politically.
It's the kind of thing that makes you wonder why - when reminded of the context - more people don't reevaluate their godlike hero worship of the people on the ground floor of this country. "Yeah, they established it, but we live in a much different world now" should go a LOT farther than it seems to
Most people have not read the Federalist Papers. But then again, I think many students in red states are taught nothing about slavery either. The founders/framers are regarded as divinely inspired prophets.
As someone who grew up in a household that was religiously very tangential to that viewpoint, I can't imagine it was much better for so many of my peers.
Some one’s daddy owns the lumber mill.
He should stick to paying $15/month to an MMORPG than trying to answer questions, IMO.
Probably plays a human too
I have never understood why anyone would play as a human in a game where there's an option to not play as a human.
4th alt, want more lore 🤷
Every pro-capitalism argument is just "Capitalism is good because one day I'll become rich"
Somebody really needs to tell these people that payroll is NOT profit and in fact a lot of "profit" is just wages that weren't paid to the workers who earned them.

alt text left out that the jaw is up to the nose for the "real dumb but thinking hard" look
You cost your boss a lot less than he costs you.
this is a banger, I wish I had a printer so I could print this out and frame it and look at it every day
john fantasy would never. media literacy isn't just dead, it was turned into some horrible abomination that eats people
I like how brags about clocking out as if capitalists don’t as well. Fuck, many of them don’t need to clock in.
REAL capitalists don't clock in.
Not being a literal slave isn't a plus. It's barely the bare minimum!
"use his infrastructure for my personal benefit" they usually fire you for doing this
I think it's worse than that, I think they just mean "they allow you the honor of setting foot inside the place they own, to work for them."
this is such a fucked up view of the world. the owning class is an inherent, just, and unchangeable constant. this is the way the world works and nothing better is possible. going to a meaningless job and doing nothing all day rather than doing something meaningful or fun is desirable actually.
Bro being American is like suffering a severe brain injury.
So many people here have the mentality of the most brainwashed medieval serf.
I'm sick of this serfbashing tbh. Medieval serfs were far more likely to violently oppose their exploitation than any of us. Peasants revolted all the time, for a bunch of reasons!! We've got a lot to learn from them
yeah im british so it blew my mind when i found out that some people claim 'everyone' here was liberated by the enclosure acts and the workhouses
esp this bsky.app/profile/reco...
We should be so lucky as to mount a Duke's head on a pike
Kathy Griffin was in fact correct
in the US they teach people that it is human nature to be a serf and the only possible escape is gaining the approval of authority and becoming a master
Covid did ravage our nation as a matter of policy. And it looks like there may be links to brain injury from covid infections, even mild infections. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/search/resea...
Strong TimeCube vibes there
No! The capitalist's profit motive is being exploited by the *checks notes* people making the profit with their labor!
lmao
The boot is so delicious! Have some! You might like it!
