It has never been more apparent that the democratic party does not have a cohesive idea of what the nation should be doing, only how they can profit off of whats happening, and what legislature would benefit that goal most. The idea of starting over is scary, but not getting the chance is scarier.

They’re specifically referring to philosophical schools of thought. Idealist vs Materialist. Idealism being faith or conceptual. Materialism is based on science or observation. Dialectical meaning to argue or contend with vs Mechanistic, which viewed society and nature as existing mechanisms.
