True, but it benefits coal companies that supply most fuel for electricity production, which is what powers charging stations. (Unless the charging stations are powered by solar). Anyway, maybe oil and gas have stronger lobbies. It's all so stupid.

Most US electricity comes from natural gas. Coal is no longer a big player in electrical production in the US. Natural gas is cheaper and cleaner.
