Incidentally, I recently learned that supplementary materials say it's called the Gundam (in a trinity with the Guntank and Guncannon) because it's supposed to 'dam' enemy advances, plugging weak spots in your lines and fending off massive amounts of elite forces.

I suppose that's why it's the only one of the trio with a shield?

Ooo GM III. It's always interesting to me that the GM II is the least interesting classic GM. Like this might just be me but I actively forget it exists. The III is an amazing grunt suit so I'm almost kinda sad Gundam side stories don't use it very often. The Jegan is cool though ngl
