Way to get it exactly wrong. Try looking through the other end of the telescope

Do you think Biden dropping out of the race with only a few months to go positively or negatively affected Trump’s ability to win?

Ofc it affected the race positively for Trump. The one human proven to beat him was off the table. The difference is where we believe the betrayal behind that lies

Which has fuck all to do with the important issues that potential Dem candidates should be focusing on, which is contrary to the appalling premise of this stupid article.

So do you think it impacted Trump winning re-election or not?

Dan, why is it important for you to hear random people on the internet say that it did?

It’s important that people grapple with why democrats lost and who’s being honest about it and who’s not. People need to be honest with themselves as well that democrats will lie about the mental fitness of their leaders.

But why is it important for JB Pritzker (or whoever) to address this complaint about a bygone election?

Seriously! THAT's the big flaw with this article that these fools are just ignoring in favor of petty snipes at someone far removed from political power at this point.

So you think owning one’s failures builds credibility?

Yes.

So you also want them to own up to if they were lying about his mental fitness

Who is “they,” and why does it apparently include future presidential candidates?

Well we *put* an old man in mental decline into office that is *currently* destroying the country in large deaths so, apparently it didn't have *that* much of an impact, now did it? 😉

Certainly not as much impact as fighting the fascist-in-chief right now.

I feel that we could have stopped Trump from being elected if elected democrats had been forthright public ally about what was patently obvious to everyone: Joe Biden was not mentally fit to run for re-election and should have stepped aside 2 years before the election. They won’t admit that now.

It was not “patently obvious to everyone“. Fuck all the way off.

No, it was obvious and worse behind closed doors. The other trick is that this isn’t specific to Biden. They did the same thing with Fienstein and others. www.newyorker.com/podcast/the-...

Your point, I think, is that Biden helped Trump. What is the relevance in 2025?
