So many reasons that I’ve had great respect for #Colbert . Really realized what a true genius he was during the writers strike years ago when he sat there and just killed it every day, right by himself. Very few quick and brilliant minds as this. We need him to have a platform somewhere.
Truth. I have no fear for his future but to your point, may he quickly transition to another network / streaming service in some form or fashion. Meanwhile, it is sad and infuriating to see how Paramount sold CBS out with a bribe for a merger. Skydance could very well steer the way of Fox.
It looks like they’re already planning that direction.
