Well I can’t find anything on it but that’s never gonna happen unless they’re talking about replacing kenan stadium too which is a terrible idea

it doesn’t make much sense to me to build a big colosseum in chapel hill unless there’s some sort of home team linked to it that’s playing games there with some sort of regularity

I’m choosing to believe this is fake news until I see the slide deck bc it’s a non starter for a million reasons. I’m more than open to the idea of a bball arena but a large venue with no specific purpose would be weird

Unless this can somehow benefit UNC specifically, something like this belongs in a location that has the road and hospitality infrastructure to support it. Durham, Cary, Raleigh. Not a smallish college town.

and it’s only 25,000 seats, so probably not big enough for UNC football unless things get really bad
