I think Dio thrived on live performance. Raindow's studio albums aren't my favorite but I think they were a great live band. Heaven and Hell is an exceptional album imo

You have a point there. I never got the chance to see him live, unfortunately. I like Rainbow Rising and Long Live Rock 'N' Roll a lot, but not interested in the rest of the Rainbow albums. They were actually the first band I saw live, but unfortunately it wasn't very good. H&H is exceptional indeed
