I was profoundly moved by the performances and moral meditations in HBO's TASK and also frustrated by some really baffling choices when it came to plotting and pacing. A fascinating mixed bag still worth watching.

When I interviewed Fabien Frankel last summer for Hot D, he mentioned getting really into Philly cheesesteaks while working on this show. He tried to describe the delicacy to Matt Smith, saying it's served on a "baguette," which is the nicest, funniest way anyone has ever described a hoagie bun.

Right there with you on the pacing issues, but MAN, the cast is delivering some great work.
