Epstein is an exception because it fit the right's narrative and they picked it up. I don't know when exactly or how media lost the ability to identify and chase scandals on their own, but I suspect it's part of the misapplication of the ideology of "nonpartisanship".
Yeah we’re just at a natural progression in their decades long response to false accusations of liberal bias, where they’re now biased against liberals reflexively. Their conservative bias is considered the null hypothesis and not a form of bias.
But this actually speaks to the Epstein thing, the scandals they pursued against Biden and Clinton, and the recent fleeting attention “Trump is dead” rumors: All of those things are stories they cared about because the right told them to care, even Epstein. bsky.app/profile/crai...
