No, Republicans win because way too many people either are bigots, are ok with being led by bigots, or can't be bothered to vote to against bigots. Remember that this President was only elected by 1/5 of the population.
Unfortunately, 1/5 is far too few. Of the total adult pop., 28% voted for Trump. Of the 155,201,157 people who bothered to actually vote, 48% voted for Trump. 192,098,843 did not vote. A low estimate of the percentage of these folks who would support MAGA would be 40%. so, more like >1/3.
I'm not talking about projections or estimates, I'm talking about the proportion of the total population who actively voted for him. ~1/5 is that number.

Racism is a factor, certainly, but voter apathy is worse. Half the country has no faith in either party or the process, & the dems have lazily coasted on being the lesser evil, while accomplishing almost nothing of lasting substance. Both parties are just trash.
I said bigotry, not just racism. In an ethical society, open bigotry would be an immediate disqualifier for service. It's not accurate that both parties are equally trash or that Dems don't do anything. Some folks are trying to serve the US, not just their party.
There are people trying to do good within the system, sure, but the DNC & the party literally back AIPAC pawns in primaries against progressives, or outright fund Republican candidates if things don't go their way. They only believe in Democracy if it's pointing centre/right.

Don't really understand the mentality that says you can more easily subvert the entire nation than just one party; or more easily beat two entrenched parties than just one.
Oh, nothing about any of this will be easy. But we've reached the point where no matter who wins, we lose. It's just a matter of how much. Money has corrupted the entire process, so maybe decline & collapse are inevitable.
It's not that I'm pro-Democrat I'm just pro-what-works and the last time a third party won, it was Lincoln.
The two party binary works very hard to keep it that way, but they've overplayed their hand. Most Americans can't afford a $500 emergency. Multiple generations have grown up under mediocre neoliberalism & conservatism & are over both. 40-50% of the eligible population doesn't even vote.
The disparity between the buying power people have now & what their parents or grandparents had at their age has simply become too wide for the usual distractions or propaganda to be effective. People have started to catch on that they're being exploited while the oligarchy gets fat.
The two party system is a byproduct of the first past the post voting system. Until you change that, the political landscape will always collapse into a binary system. In my lifetime there has been one serious national candidate who campaigned on changing it. Tim Walz.
