And I don't think shame is why he's voted against Trump a couple times, he's just on his way out, of both the Senate & life, & he realizes that the creature they've created has slipped all bonds of control, & is as likely to be destructive toward their own white nationalist goals has anything else.

I say that's the case, MM. He certainly doesn't seem like the type to ever achieve enough awareness, much less decency, to have much regret over the many and myriad evils he's achieved over his lifetime.
