Few are left who do remember. My Uncle Bill had his 100th birthday last year, but now he's passed. He and three of his nine brothers were old enough to enlist and all four came home. His older brother Walt was in the Battle of the Bulge. My dad, dead 24 years, was in the Army Air Corps in India.
