Polls indicate right now (& the data's been trending this way for a while) that if the midterm elections aren't completely rigged or shut down Dem voter turnout will be huge & Repugs will lose both the Senate & House. This is also supported by the town halls & the results of state & local elections.

Furthermore, Republican voter support is diminishing. Eventually Repugs in congress will feel that and resign or back away from Trump. Also, such discontent inevitably leads to more intense protest which may lead to violent confrontation which could 50/50 help Trump or harm him politically.

The midterms are critical. If those are lost, then probably all is lost--he'll argue that it shows public support for his authoritarianism. But he's old, not in optimal health & widely hated both here & abroad. That leads me to believe that he'll be gone, 1 way or another, sooner rather than later.

Yes, but there's a lot working against Trump right now. Most dictators don't last. Putin and Stalin lasted but Russia has never been a democracy. It can take a long time to get rid of them, but Trump is older--older than Mussolini was when they strung him up.
