for many years the cultural depictions of journalists has been "sometimes bad but mostly plucky, high minded individuals in seek of the truth for the greater good" while lawyers are shown pretty 50/50 as being good or outright villains.

there are as many if not more lawyers fighting the admin every day with every tool in their profession, but a vast majority of the news/journo industry became enamored by their own mythos and normalized fascism in ways that will take a lifetime to undo a trump cant exist w/o 1mil steve collins
