I think that's an interesting point. I'm not so sure that his podcast was the source of this growth. (He definitely had a lot of professional counseling, especially around the addiction stuff.) But I do think that confronting these failures of the profession through the podcast is valuable.

It's a good observation, though. FWIW, I think the major function of moral character is the difference between people who, when forced to engage at great length with serious ideas, (a) become introspective or (b) become ideologically entrenched. Maron is (a); Rogan (b).
