And further to my comment, I also thought Carney was to be trusted. In my riding (Aaron Gunn) the NDP had the best chance of beating him & it was disappointing the Liberals even ran a candidate & split the damn vote. Still, I had hope because he seemed sincere. One disappointment after another.
And it will be worse later this year, as either more bad legislation will pass, or the Liberals will be turfed for a CPC majority as the NDP support for the Liberals will wane, and FPTP will deliver what it does for the Cons next time. #cdnpoli
Yup. I’ve actually never been flat out afraid of the results of elections in Canada. Sure, never keen on a CPC government but the years since Harper, my fear has grown exponentially.
And "Liberals" are so okay with this future, because Carney can do no wrong and his popularity will last forever, and he'll save Canada if we believe hard enough, that they'll be just blindsided. They think his minority government can never fall, because magic. Electoral reform or bust. #cdnpoli

Yes! It’s staggering to me that excuses continue to be made no matter what. As mentioned, I’ve been hard core NDP all my long life, but have never agreed with everything they did, esp recently. To do so is absurd. No leader or party is perfect & they need their members to hold them accountable.
We apparently don't have time for accountability, we should just be glad that we get to bask in an economic genius' presence.
That's exactly what I think wi happen. They squeaked by with a minority thanks to the collapse of the NDP and strategic voting. No one is getting fooled twice by "Elbows up". CPC made gains in the GTA too, which is bad news.
People have to remember what it was like living without science between 2011 and 2015, and decide what to do right now, because it probably won't be an option in 6 months from now.
