They could have looked without destroying everything first. This is stupid reasoning on the face of it. We're supposed to accept it like this makes sense. Nope!

They start by getting rid of the evidence. That's the proof that they're lying -- and know that they're lying. It's not a surprise -- JFK Jr's modus operandi has always been to pretend that the contrary evidence doesn't exist, and offer sloppy, retracted, and/or fraudulent research in its place.
