…writing them up, explaining to them what went wrong. Should there be a second offense, then an explanation for letting them go would be sufficient. Spending months watching somebody steal soda pops it’s stupid.

I don't disagree, but read the article and watch the video with the policeman. Yes, I agree, no need for them to have called the cops on this young man. There are far better ways they could have handled this. But it was just a week or so, not months. The police officer was actually very kind.

Oh, and to be clear, I am not sticking up for them, just correcting the very misleading post (that I had earlier reacted to with anger and derision for the company and those involved) as it was misleading and made false statements. Truth matters. Still think they could have handled it better.
