So if I understand things correctly, a student writing an opinion piece supporting Palestine (not Hamas) gets deported because they are anti semitic but a president can accept a $400M jet from a country that has given Hamas over $1B. Goes to show that the anti semitism bullshit is just that.
I've been thinking a lot, lately, about the "ostentatious hypocrisy is a fascist assertion of power" thing. It makes sense, done either deliberately or subconsciously. This also, BTW, fits neatly with Frank Wilhoit's definition of conservatism. It has helped me not be so enraged at the hypocrisy.
