The only reason there hasn't had to be a dozen stories titled NATIONAL PARKS: SUMMER OF DEATH is thanks to thousands of overworked, overstressed, and understaffed NPS employees and volunteers doing everything they can to keep the parks from collapsing into *total* shitshows and I am very grateful
