the fact that patriarchy is on that list makes me feel like any attempt to justify its existence is retrogressive fwiw

If you squint, I think you can make the case that overuse of it as a term (and some others here) without actually describing what it actually means or how it applies can come off as hollow and alienating. But not sure that's what they're going for here
