perhaps...but pushing back on a claim that the DNC is now trying to convince Mills to run as reactionary due to this sudden emergence of a "less moderate"/"more progressive" candidate is totally warranted here imo

Except that it’s completely based on nothing. First of all, it’s never the “DNC,” it would be the DSCC & Schumer. It’s the DCCC if it’s a House seat. But Mills’ arm has been twisted out of its socket all along. If anything, Platner’s emergence might make it *less* urgent.
