😂 yeah. You get zero say in Scotlands future & given where you're from I'm gonna guess Tory/Reform voter. Your figures are also wrong. Recent poles indicate that 59% of Scots want independence. A number that grows when farage is mentioned. Plus, amongst 16-35 Yr olds, 70+ % want independence.
I don't want any say in Scotland's future. I'm a liberal Kennedy Democrat. I just think it's odd that about half( during the last election) chose to stay. Different poles I guess but the fact is, you need daddy's permission to even hold another vote. And your party agreed! British forever I guess.
And just to be clear. I think Scotland, Ireland and Wales should be their own countries, totally independent of English rule.
Ireland has been an independent sovereign state for about a hundred years.
How fucking sovereign are they if acknowledge England's sovereignty over Northern Ireland?
That would be one of the elements that defines its sovereignty i.e. its ability to enter into recognised international treaties such as the Good Friday Agreement.
Jesus man! Listen to you! A sovereign nation does not cede sovereignty to another nation willingly! They should never had made that agreement. Every Irish man and woman should want all of Ireland to be united as one country. I do.
Actually peace agreements quite frequently involve those kinds of settlements. Most Irish people want reunification with Northern Ireland. That doesn't mean they don't support doing it via the peaceful and democratic path set out in the GFA.
Quite notable that England doesn’t want to be really independent and would continually thwart Scotland’s right to self determination. Ever wonder why?
I never really thought of how the majority of Englanders feel about going it alone. I'd say between the bloodshed and tribute swapped among the English,Scottish,Welsh and Irish over the centuries that everyone would feel even and a nice clean break and fresh start for all would do the world good.
