Uncle - they lose touch with your reality and its hard to bring them out of their imaginary world where immigrants eat cats. Its hard to do, but with a little luck you and the Uncle will outlast trump and hopefully that Uncle can be nice. Talk about the weather, cars, food, just keep in touch.

Back your elected officials to let them know you see them fighting and encourage them to continue doing that - they are at the front line and every vote or law they win and stop slows the coalition down. Over here, media supposed crappy opposition and they need to be reminded often of their role

Another big battle ground is social media - where armies of bots manipulate the discourse... I don't know how to fight it yet other than organizing and reporting all these bots

Media can be influenced by reaching out to advertisers and telling them to stop supporting something or you will be voting with your wallet, voting with your wallet isn't enoug, you have to tell the advertisers why you are doing that.

Its not Teflon, its the media betraying the people for a few extra views. Not all of them are bad and lying - their incentives are off and the owners have their hand on the scales
