they are the fittest on the basis of their “good genes” and anyone who does not succeed like they have must lack those “good genes” are thus deserve nothing.

Post-1965 racism tends to flow from the idea that social disparities emerge from a "culture of poverty" whose moral failings legitimate the denial of welfare state provisions But if they believe genetics create those disparities, that undermines the moral basis for denying people assistance

We really need Jesus to come back and explain it's okay for you to have more than other people. You don't need to justify it. You don't need reasons to think poor people DESERVE to be poor. And, no, you don't need to disseminate your wealth among the poor. Just, you know, be NICE to them.

So all the people who didn't become Uber rich have bad genes? I looked up his family and Dad was a mega real estate broker in NY. Maybe everyone is not fixated on building astronomical wealth to legitimize their sense of worth or value.

I'm sure all he got were the "good genes." But don't worry, he didn't get an allowance, his dad just gave him a job at Ackman-Ziff and invested in real estate wit him.

Bill Ackman recalled: “I couldn’t get a job… when I graduated from Harvard, so I went to work for my dad. I worked for you for two years,” he said to his father across the stage. Then went to business school and you wanted me to come back and I came back for one week—then chose to go on my own.” In what turned out to be a mini “Rashomon” moment, Ackman senior exclaimed “No! That’s not how it happened (roaring laughter). You told me in your 2nd year at Harvard, ‘I’m coming back, I’m looking forward. Son I [was] looking forward to it… Then you met David Berkowitz at Harvard Business School…[and] created a… hedge fund.“ Bill Ackman asserted: “I have a wonderful relationship with my Dad.” as he joined the laughing audience.

While you are probably right at some level, I told my kids they inherited good genes. But only in the context that they are starting ahead of the rest of the pack by pure luck so don’t get cocky. It is what they do with their gifts that define who they are. Is recognizing gifts eugenics?

It’s just straight up white supremacy. Eugenics is very much intertwined with that bullshit. They want to breed out the “bad stuff” it’s disgusting.

I also inherited good genes from my parents, two near-genius intellects who worked for non-profits their entire lives, and therefore never had more than a middle class financial status. Obviously, they were failures in the "good values" part of his equation.

“I never received an allowance so I worked odd jobs washing & waxing cars, digging ditches, lawn & tree care, etc. for pocket money beginning when I was about 10.” - said by many people in this country who still work these jobs at ages 20-70 - now let’s count the immigrants doing the same thing.

Eugenics figures in every decision, every policy they enact. Even the radical christian right has managed to incorporate it into their beliefs. 'God protects His Faithful' on steroids. Eugenicists & Evangelicals both think some are weak (physically, mentally, faith) & expendable & should go away.
