Legitimately went to Venice and before 8 in the morning, before we even found our Airbnb, wound up in a heated argument with a Venetian who was convinced NYC was incredibly dangerous and violent, despite me having lived there since '87 and knowing it wasn't true. He simply refused to believe me lol.

How J6 has been whitewashed in the right wing bubble is absolutely maddening. We all saw it! The president sent a frenzied mob holding nooses and signs saying "Hang Mike Pence" to the Capitol steps to "Stop the Steal!" There should be no charitable way to interpret it.
