I enlisted to defend freedom of religion, amongst other things, but I am also a recent convert away from it to athiesm. 43 years deep in the Christian cult taught me that it really does have a high percentage of abusive people (as everywhere), including pedos, beaters, and psychos.
Even in religion we have our freedoms and they will absolutely bring about all things "of the flesh." I have been dealing with pain of another's doing for 70 years and only found relief in my faith. Each finds our path and I wish you peace.
