Trump says that if the treasury has to pay back the $100 billion or so that his tariffs have raised, it will throw us into a depression. For perspective, 100 billion is 1/300 of our annual GDP, and only 1.3% of our annual budget. That's nothing. The economy won't notice, and Trump is full of crap.
That money comes from our pockets. The foreign countries do not pay the tariffs. Trump lies. And brags about stealing from us.
