FORREAL, i did word for word in the search bar of Google. At 1st, I got $60k something, and I thought, WTF, are you serious!!?! So i reworded it, Annual pay for an individual in the US, it brought up $40k, EVEN still, i thought BULLSHIT. There are couples combined that dont make that! Im talking40k
That’s like a 27% increase. The distribution of income in the United States is extremely positively skewed (far more people making less money) thus the mean is always greater than the median. Probably looked at median data for recent year and mean(average) data for last year.
