Because I like boats. They are very good for travelling, fishing, sailing, and generally not-sinking. And this is an island. So, not-sinking is quite a key concept.

what people forget Alex is basically since Feb we have had largely great conditions for sea crossings in small boats ... no real storms or even enough wind and thats a large impact ...

As far as the trafficking gangs and their overcrowded dinghies are concerned we all want them to be stopped. The only way of achieving this is by safe legal routes for refugees. And by an agreement with France and other countries that was lost when we were taken out of the EU by ignorant racists.

Tbf, if anyone doesn't want the boats stopped they're fucking weird. I want them stopped and replaced by safe and legal routes. Of course that'll make me fucking weird to some but hey ho!
