I remember stressed voters asking frantically if naïvely “Will prices go up or down?” The only poss answer was “Depends on the terms, matter for negotiation”. Shrugs all round. Never went any further.

I find it quite odd when David Davis occasionally comes out with something that makes genuine sense. Shame he then forgot it all and supported Brexit. 🙄

52-48 was never acceptable as referendums go. The Swiss knows how to do referendums, but arrogant Brit establishment will not copy Switzerland. Never forget them Brexiters who made a lot of Stock money from leaving the union by betting against £sterling. Traitors. Treasonous?

“This Brexit was only a total failure because it wasn’t hard enough, we need MORE Brexit” said every idiot, every time it’s pointed out what an unmitigated disaster Brexit has been.

I'm so tired of the brexiteers, the ones who fucked us, complaining about the rogering as if they weren't to blame and having the gall to say they can fix it. The ludicrous fucking pandering to these geriatric man-children has gone on long enough.

Brexit was never defined properly so it was hard to have an informed debate

The referendum wasn't about brexit, it was leave or stay in the EU. It was essential that an informed debate was conducted and that just did not happen. It's not even happening now.

It seems like it is especially being avoided now, when it's clear that a large majority – far greater than that which led to it – view it is a mistake

I think part of it is that the entire political establishment are frankly frightened of admitting they made a colossal, unpopular error by enabling Brexit. They need to face up to the error however, because what they're doing now is compounding the error, meaning it worse. It's a mess.

"retained EU law which Kemi Badenoch failed to scrap" Either Noa is too stupid to understand that the opposition can't do this or Refuck UK™ feel like need to attack the Tories.

Badenoch was SoS for Business and Trade under Sunak. To her credit (really!) she put a hold on the madcap scheme to simply blanket repeal all retained EU legislation. Hoffman is, in fact, too stupid to understand how catastrophic this would have been (like Reform)

They're right, one of the disasters of the EU referendum was that the benefits or problems of being an EU members state or leaving the EU were never clearly, properly debated in the way they were back in 1975. The BBC was woeful, but the press & media generally were too flippant & not factual.

She blocked me on Twitter after she got on a Tate brothers rant, which is laudable, provided your perch doesn't come with a decades old history of flashing tits at its audience. I miss the good old days baiting Sun hacks.

Labour could have held sway on Brexit at a critical time before the 2019 elections. Had they wanted a second referendum on #Brexit - a people’s vote - they could have supported it. They chose not to. #RejoinEU
