The UK just announcing an intention to rejoin any EU structure will be met with absolute and total scorn, confirm the suspicions of many over there that Britain has learned nothing, AND be used by pro-Brexit people to mock rejoin, putting back what you long for by many years. god no - I say get on our knees NOW! We can't re-join fast enough IMHO and I think we should be willing to make massive concessions to get back in and put Farage et al back in the bin where they belong!

I was often bullied at school and being a girl, scorn was always the main weapon in the bullies' arsenal. It is never the correct response. Insisting on a mainly Protestant UK population performing penance is something that they will not understand and will resent. I hope the EU realises that.
